Overview

Commend UK needed a short 3D animation for the launch of their new product - the OD27. The goal was to clearly and visually communicate its key features, modular design, and use cases across various environments.

The video was created for the official unveiling of OD27 at The Security Event in Birmingham.

The Outcome

We were responsible for the full creative and technical execution of the video, from concept to final delivery.

The Challenge

The video wasn’t just about showcasing hardware. It was about helping a security leader tell a compelling story, through 3D.

Our Process

  • Storyboard
    We started by structuring the visual narrative. This ensured we captured all product functionalities while maintaining a smooth flow and timing.

  • 3D Scene Development
    Using Blender, we placed the OD27 in detailed 3D environments, including an airport terminal and a university campus, to demonstrate its context.

  • Animation
    We focused on clarity and precision. Transitions were used to highlight the product's strong points, the various ways it can be integrated into an environment, and some user interactions. We also animated the Commend UK logo and slogan to enhance the video's impact. 

  • Post-Production
    Final touches included lighting adjustments, colour grading, and visual refinement to maintain consistency and quality across the video.

Outcome

The final animation was delivered in time for the product’s premiere at TSE 2025 and used across digital channels and event displays. It presented the Commend UK OD27, engagingly and in context, enhancing product understanding and supporting its public introduction.
