Challenge

“We just need a new logo" were the first words we heard when JKMB reached out. After learning more about them, it turned out that they needed a complete overhaul of how they communicated their services after they’d grown exponentially in just 2 years. We went through some new opportunities they could grab and devised a plan to build them a new brand identity, website and 3D animation to go along.

JKMB are an incredible IT consultancy that increases ServiceNow productivity by solving complex problems and automating routines. We were amazed by their efficiency and fast decision-making as most of our meetings were 10-15 min long and always to the point. This inevitably allowed our team to unleash its creativity.

Outcome

An elite business whose visual style fits their growth and expertise through a total overhaul of brand and website.

Brand Identity

JKMB have reached a new level in their development and contacted us to remake its brand to reflect it. Their goal is to position themselves as an expert alongside HP, modis and Proxiad. Their new brand had to represent their leading service by retaining the cloud symbol and the dominant blue colour from their old logo to present the high quality of their work and to show the complexity of solutions they can offer.

Our 3-step process when developing a brand:

Brand and Logo design process as done by Cosmonavt. Starts with Discovery Session, then defining the look and feel, tone of voice and behaviour of the company. The next step includes the deliverables - Logo, Visuals & Video, Website, Templates
  1. Discovery session - it is a long conversation where together with JKMB we identify their target customer, how we speak to them, and the company's values, vision and mission. All of this sets the stage for the next step - the mood boards.

  2. Mood boards - one of the biggest challenges in our line of work is to materialize other people’s ideas  out of thin air. and align with the direction envisioned by the CEO. Mood boards come in handy when aligning our ideas and start a discussion. After bringing it as close to the real thing as possible we use it as the blueprint when developing the first draft.

3. First & second proposals - this is where the real work starts and what most clients imagine when they say they need a logo. It is a cycle of presenting our work and discussing how it can get closer to the end goal.

4. Final version - when we settle on  the One, we do the  finishing touches on the logo and move on to adapting it to every branding, marketing or business need.

Logo variations - black and white, flat logo design and 3D logo

5. Logo package & style guide - dark backgrounds, light backgrounds, on paper, for web - you name it, and we have the logo. That is the last step where we create all necessary logos versions and a guide on how to apply them.

Website

A great brand also needs a great website that represents its business.

The website required a complete overhaul to represent the growth of the company. We simplified the overall structure, readjusted some of the pages and created a 3D animation for the landing page’s top header. It’s goal is to simplify JKMB’s process when providing a service for their clients.

3D Animation

JKMBs services are complex for the average Joe. But a video shows more than 1000 words, and animation can explain elaborate concepts in a visual way. That is why we did a short 3D video that shows how JKMB takes an issue and turns it into measurable results for their clients through the JKMB accelerator.
